Ali remembers asking Jesus into her life on the first day of kids’ church as a kindergartener when she was just four years old. She spent her summers and spring breaks serving on missions trips in Mexico and overseas, which eventually led her to study Religion with an emphasis in Intercultural Studies at Vanguard University.
After six years in children’s ministry at Mariners Church in Irvine, Ca, Ali took a leap of faith to pursue her creative gifts and desires. She is a freelance writer and editor in San Diego, Ca, where she specializes in work with nonprofits. When she’s not writing, you can find Ali hiking, listening to music, or playing “aunt” with her seven nieces and nephews. Ali sits on the board of Evolution Haiti, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting 55+ kids orphaned in Haiti’s 2010 earthquake.
